The God Who Sees
(Inspired by the video posted below. )
As I am here in the United States with all of the changes that are occurring, I think about others around the world who will wake up today to a reality completely different from my own. But there is one thing we all have in common even in the midst of our differences. We all are blessed by the gift of having a God who sees. There is no distance you can travel to drift beyond His reach. There is no corner so dark that His light cannot illuminate. There are so many ways people define God that can make Him feel unavailable to those who somehow fail to “qualify.” Know this, you are not forgotten and God deems you worthy of His love, His presence, and His grace. Regardless of how others may define Him, the question that matters most is, “How does God define himself?” Take a moment and, if you have access to a bible, read a few of the ways the bible speaks about God’s character. Here are three scriptures for those in parts of the world where Bibles may not be as easy to acquire.
(God Is Faithful)
1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. [NIV]
(God Is Sufficient)
Matthew 6:26 - Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? [NIV]
(God Is My Strength)
2 Samuel 22: 32-34 - For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; He causes me to stand on the heights. [NIV]
At His core He is a God of love, a God that has painstakingly withstood loving measures to ensure we know He is available to all of us, and He is a God who sees.
Make sure to let me know your thoughts as we share and pour into each other.
